It all started with the ‘mad scientist’ theme.  A passionate and resourceful Jim Jannard set out to fullfill his quest of designing and building the world’s best camera’s. His views of camera’s was real. He realised that a good camera tells a thousand stories. Camera’s are able to stop time, tell various stories and record history.  Not only are those things long living after human life is over with, but the camera – weather in snap shot or via film method- can speak a whole new language to the human race around the world. 

PROTOTYPE 1: THE BREADBOX

 With Jim’s background involving being the founder and designer of Oakley products it is easy to see where his ambitions come from in life. So, it was with his team of highly intelligent specialists that also shared his passions that the moment in history evolved where technology on a higher level became a dream come true. This brilliance of RED began in 2005 and the frist RED ONE camera was delievered to the world in August of 2007. Beginning his dreams out of a empty wharehouse he and a small group of hopefuls changed what we know today in the motion picture industry.
 

 
This team, geniusly engineered a product capable of recording RAW, 4K images at up to 30 frames per second! This is where the beginning of digital cimema, on a very new scale, was born. History really was made when Mysterium® was developed, which created the very first image. He had gone from the beginnings of a vision and took it to new heights and proved that starting out with the simple wooden box, technology could be made. With many hours poured into perfecting brilliance, and with many problems needing solving, eventually history was made.
